As an artist, I create projects that make a difference and shed light on subject matters deserving of more attention from society and from the filmmaking community. A great festival. Communication was excellent. The organizers work with care.
I filmed my documentary with one camera, no crew and a microphone that barely worked. I did, however, pour my heart and soul into hours of editing 8 months worth of footage (tapping into my story editing skills). I’m appreciative that this festival was able to recognize the hard work and dedication that went into making this project. If you are a filmmaker, and think you need to drone, dolly, etc. to make a film “look” more professional, I can tell you right now focus more on content and it will be recognized and will pay off. I will be extremely grateful for this festival.
